TDBTec Cold Forging Capabilities
TDBTec’s platform offers a vast range of process, material, and finish combinations. Here are some of the most commonly used options by our customers in the die-casting industry:

High Pressure Die Casting
High pressure die casting is a precision manufacturing process that involves injecting molten metal into a steel die or mold at extremely high pressures, typically ranging from 1,000 to 20,000 psi.

Low Pressure Die Casting
Molten metal is gently poured and propelled into a mold w/ low-pressure gas at 7-30 PSI.

Hot and Cold Chamber Die Casting
Cold-chamber casting is suitable for alloys with high melting temps like aluminum. Hot-chamber casting is good for alloys with low melting temps and is a faster process used to make intricate geometries.

Advanced Modeling and Design Software

Post-Casting CNC Machining
TDBTec offers the equipment and processes to handle all your CNC machining needs after cold forging. Sometimes a part requires clean up or detailed features to be machined post-casting. With our guided expertise, you can select which features should be cast versus machined. Mold flow analysis and industry-leading design software ensure the project will result in high quality cold forging parts. Here are some of the post-die-casting CNC machining options TDBTec offers:
- 5-axis machining centers for complex geometries
- Wire EDM and Graphite machining centers for fine details
Reliable Cold Forging Quality
TDBTec’s commitment to maintaining rigorous appearance standards and rejection criteria ensures the final product consistently meets customer expectations. By specifying surface roughness in Ra and Rz values and adhering to clearly defined visual inspection protocols, TDBTec enables customers to have a thorough understanding of what to expect from their castings, further enhancing the collaborative process.
Testing and compliance includes: CMM, RoHS compliance, material composition testing (with XRF spectrometer), x-ray testing, salt spray testing, and hardness testing.
